Character analysis-- Choose a character from your book. Draw the character. Write a caption that describes the personality of the character. Include detail in both the drawing and the caption. Include three speech bubbles that show what this character might be thinking. These thoughts should be related to the plot of the book or other characters. This should not be a pencil drawing. 50XP
Character analysis/poetry-- Choose a character from your book. Write a poem about your character. Use at least two types of figurative language in the poem. It may or may not rhyme. The poem should have a title and clearly express the personality of the character. 50XP. Include an illustration for 15 more XP.
Character analysis/song-- Write a song about your character. The song should have a melody as well as lyrics. 50 XP
Character analysis/re-enactment- Dress up as a character from your book and present a 3-5min monologue from your character's point of view. 50 XP
Setting analysis-- Draw the setting of your book. This should not be a pencil drawing. Explain the importance of the setting to the plot of the book. Analyze the effectiveness of the setting in creating a mood or suspense. 50 XP
Setting analysis/poetry visualization-- What did the setting of this book cause you to visualize? Write a poem about your visualization. The poem should have a title and use at least two types of figurative language. 50XP. Include an illustration for 15 more XP.
Vocabulary dictionary- Create a dictionary of challenging vocabulary words from your book. Provide a definition, sentence, and illustration for each word. Minimum= 5 pages. 50 XP
Book Cover-- Design a book cover for your novel. It must have a front and back cover as well as two inside flaps. Study book covers to gain an idea about formatting and what to include. 50 XP.
Book/Movie analysis- Watch a movie based on the book you have read. Write a two page detailed analysis comparing the book with the movie. 50 XP.
